The programmable plus Smart control units are dominating right now… I am seeing them everywhere, plus pretty much all our friends have switched to one of the many control units.
I am yet to make the investment, not because I don’t suppose the control units would be beneficial, it’s just that I don’t know if I need one, but my digital control unit works fine, plus frankly, I have never had an issue with it.
So, I don’t see the need to upgrade it even though all our friends seem to think I should, according to them, ever since they installed the programmable plus Smart control units, they have seen a decrease in their energy bill. Some have even declared that the control units have made their homes much more comfortable. I have done the research on programmable plus Smart control units, plus I did find information about the savings that it can create. According to the Energy Star website, you can save up to $50 or more per year on your energy bill… Though that might not sound prefer a lot of savings, think about it this way, in about 3 or 4 years the control unit would be paying for itself, besides the savings, other sites mentioned how the control units drastically regulate the temperature inside the beach house without sacrificing any comfort. I suppose that both control units deliver when it comes to savings plus comfort, plus I have no real fights against getting a programmable or a Smart control unit, and eventually, I am sure that I will update soon, however for now, I am quite content with our digital control unit.
