My eyes must have bugged when he told us the price.
My fiance and I wanted to buy an RV for our honeymoon. We wanted to take a two week trip across the country and we planned on doing it in an RV. I was shocked when we were able to purchase a used RV and to get it for almost $5000 less than what the value of the RV was. I knew we were going to find some problems that needed to be fixed, but we got a steal. We took the camper out a couple of times prior to our two week trip. The first time we were camping, the refrigerator quit working. We had to call the mobile HVAC technician and have him come to the campground and fix the refrigerator. It was a bit pricey, but we wanted to have the refrigerator working. We were about to find out that this was a minor compared to what it was going to cost for a rooftop AC repair. We were out for the weekend and our air conditioning quit working. We called the mobile HVAC tech again and he came to the campground again. He told us that we needed a new AC unit and he gave us a quote. My eyes must have bugged when he told us the price. We chose to use fans for the weekend because the cost was ridiculous. We thought it was because we were talking to the mobile HVAC tech, but we were going to find out that it was the actual cost of a rooftop AC unit. I’m hoping that we can find a used rooftop AC unit for the RV before we go on our honeymoon. We can’t afford a new rooftop AC unit and the vacation.
