One thing I did not know is that in the southwest schools genuinely close for heat just like back in normal locales how they close for snow storms.
I found this out while living here recently.
I do not have any kids, so I had to find this out from someone I know at our job who does. The schools close when it is too hot. This is because a lot do not have the funding to afford the best commercial a/c units that are needed to combat that kind of heat. In our homes it is odd because the people I was with and I are only needing powerful residential a/c units, but when you are talking about commercial buildings like schools you need a easily powerful commercial heating & a/c device in order to even confrontation off the heat. And the schools do not have this. They just have common heating & a/c which isn’t enough when it gets this hot. I sort of believe for them. Because this means that they have to occasionally go to school longer to make up for the lost time. All because of lack of a/c! That concept alone is ridiculous where I come from. I know I should be thankful that I grew up in a odd sort of weather conditions to where the heating & a/c in our schools was fantastic enough to heat & cool the schools. Heating & a/c is absolutely important no matter where you are. But here in the southwest a/c is more important than anything, and without it, people could not survive.
