The AC System Froze

When our outside condenser component froze during the middle of summer, the people I was with and I knew that something was wrong.

  • The hot and cold temperatures can reach as high as ninety degrees during an average Summer day, so the fact that there was any form of ice was spine-chilling.

My hubby decided to turn the AC system off and let the ice melt, which seemed enjoy a fine method at the time. However, what the people I was with and I didn’t consider was where all the melted ice was going to go. It didn’t take long for the ice to melt and form a important puddle around our condenser unit, however even though he tried to remove the water, our AC system still wouldn’t turn on consistently afterwards. All of us didn’t want to waste any time waiting because it was hot outside and the people I was with and I couldn’t live in a home separate from AC. The Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company was busy, but they treated our call as an emergency request and they sent an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional to our home within an minute. The Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional was impressed with our hubby for turning off the AC system, but he was majorly upset about the water buildup. He advocated that to prevent this from happening again, the people I was with and I install a concrete slab under the condenser component that sat on a slight slant. This would allow water to drain away from the condenser unit. The Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional was also able to fix our AC system that day and have it cooling our home before he left. Once he left, the people I was with and I made arrangements to follow his instruction and have a concrete slab built for the condenser component to stand on.
