I had just gotten back from a long labor trip plus had not been at our house in almost 3 weeks; I had to trust our roommate to handle things in our absence! She was pretty trustworthy for the most part, but I was particularly the more responsible 1 who inspected everything plus managed the household, but my confidence in her particularly went out the window when both of us got our electricity bill for the time I had been gone, and the bill had doubled in that time! I could not suppose it, plus luckily our bill breaks down each category to show the areas of use that are high.
It seemed our roommate had been blasting the heat while I was away.
She knew I did not like the heat so she knew to wait until I was away plus easily thought I would not find out or that it would not affect me. We live in the southeast plus have extremely mild winters so this did not even make sense, but how high had she been turning it up? I decided to talk to her about it plus she was honest luckily plus said she had the heat on 77 degrees everyday. This was high, since the normal temperature in the place was at 73 degrees. I explained to her the cost of what she had done plus I once again explained to her that making it that moderate used up a ton of energy plus that this is what caused our bill to be so high. She agreed to pay it plus I think in the future, I will have to really keep an eye on her when it comes to these things.
