The hospital room had climate control

My mom had back surgery and I decided to stay in the hospital with her during the surgery.

  • My mom was scared, so I agreed to stay overnight in the hospital.

My mom had a private room and they provided a folding chair that was actually comfortable. The hospital food was decent and they had a great selection for each meal. The hospital room had climate control as well. My mom had a temperature control dial on the side of her hospital bed. It was easy for her to access the temperature control dial. My mom and I both like the indoor temperatures cold and chilly, so I wasn’t surprised when my mom adjusted the temperature down to 68°. When the new nurse came into the room after the shift change, she immediately tried to adjust the temperature. She made a remark about the cold air. My mom stopped her before she got to the temperature control and politely asked her Leave it alone. The nurse shivered the entire time she was in there and she tried to change the temperature when she came into the room. One time my mom was asleep and I heard that button beeping. I immediately put their chair up and told the nurse to kindly leave the thermostat set at 68 degrees. I knew we were paying $10,000 a day for the room and the extra cold air was included in that price. My mom didn’t love that nurse, but the other ones took great care of my mom while she was there.
