When I finally settled in, there was one thing that I discovered that moved my apartment from that ‘five’ all the way to a ‘ten.’ What was it? A smart thermostat.
When I was looking to rent my apartment, there wasn’t much that I needed. I wasn’t very picky at all— in fact, I was comfortable with even the bare minimum. I enjoyed having a space that was my own, all to myself, even if there wasn’t much square footage available in the apartment to call “mine.” At the time, after renting it but before settling in and experiencing living in the apartment, I would have rated the apartment at a ‘five’ out of ‘ten’ on some hypothetical scale. When I finally settled in, there was one thing that I discovered that moved my apartment from that ‘five’ all the way to a ‘ten.’ What was it? A smart thermostat. After connecting my smart thermostat to my phone, I quickly discovered just how convenient and comfortable it made life. I was able to make sure that the temperature of my apartment was exactly perfect no matter where I was, whether I was coming in from work or cuddled up in bed having just woken up! The ability to set my perfect temperature on the go really elevated the value of my apartment for me. That is why I know that no matter where I move to, and no matter where I live, I will want to have a smart thermostat. Having good and functional core heating and cooling are both very important (especially in winter and summer when temperatures are at their most dramatic), but in situations where an entire home will take too long to come to temperature or I’m away and can’t come to physically adjust the thermostat, I know that my smart thermostat will have my back.
