Last weekend my husband and I had a huge party in order to celebrate our son’s 12th birthday.
- Bangla was certainly enthusiastic to see a number of people come to celebrate, his day and everyone brought presents with them.
There was a bit of sun that was shining and a light wind was gathering outside. My mother-in-law showed up around 2 p.m. and she wanted to go inside to wash up first. She had a large box that was just for my son and she gave it to him on the way inside of the house. My mother-in-law came back outside a couple of minutes later and she was genuinely complaining about something. I couldn’t tell what she was talking about, but she was waving her arms all around. My mom came from the bathroom multiple times and told me that the water was not heating up. She informed all of us that she has lots of water run for several minutes and there was no hot water. Both of us told my mother that it can take some time for the water to get hot and she accused us of believing that she might be science senile. We went into the house to check the hot water heater. We let the water run for a little while and sure enough, it did not get warm. Mom was right about the problem and the both of us were thinking that she might be crazy. We had to call a plumber to work on the hot water heater and mom told us the whole time how we should have listened to her in the first place.
