Tried turning attic into spare room

I live in a rather small sized house, which isn’t usually a problem since just my girlfriend and I live there together with our cat.

My buddy and I have a spare kitchen that works wonderful for guests, but I’ve recently been taking it over as a makeshift office space to get my work done, then because of this complication, it can’t dwelling as many people as before, and my friend and I were struggling to find space for our visitors.

My buddy and I decided to try to better utilize the attic, which was standing totally vacant for the past two years. Everything was set up fairly definitely up there, but then my friend and I realized there was a major problem; the space wasn’t hooked up to our central Heating, Ventilation and A/C system, but as such, it got absurdly warm during the summer, as all the warm air from below rose up into the high ceiling. There was hardly any ventilation, and absolutely no air conditioner was able to reach the space, since there were no air vents whatsoever. As such, my friend and I had to purchase a small window component for air conditioner the space, which turned out to be easier said than done when my friend and I tried to haul the A/C up the slim ladder to install it. It took us well over an hour to get the a/c into the window constantly, and my friend and I had to get creative with running a powerline over to the AC. Still, after all our effort my friend and I decided it was worthwhile when many friends were able to appreciate the cool, high quality air from our current A/C unit.
