The weatherman said this week that bad weather is coming this weekend and it’s going to start snowing.
The temperature is going to start falling and it’s going to get really cold.
I am actually not all that upset about the bad weather that’s coming our way, though. It’s been a fairly mild winter so far. The temperature has been so warm that we’ve barely even had to turn the furnace on at all this year. That’s crazy to me because usually by this time of year there’s at least a foot of snow on the ground and I’ve already paid a fortune in heating costs. I never even got our furnace tuned up and maintained this year, though. That’s because the weather just didn’t seem to warrant it. I never thought that we even needed a furnace tune up because the temperatures have been so mild. But now that the weather is turning around and cooling off, I know that I might as well call our local HVAC company and make an appointment. I need to have an HVAC technician come out and check out the oil furnace and do any necessary maintenance for us before the weather gets too out of control. I mean, I have a wood burning fireplace if worse comes to worst, but you can’t really heat an entire house with nothing but a wood burning fireplace. At least not for any length of time. Hopefully, our furnace will be in pretty good shape and we won’t have to pay very much in maintenance fees.
