People ask myself and others why I don’t have air conditioning.

It is such a foreign concept to them to entirely deal with the natural temperature of the world, they cannot imagine it, however call myself and others crazy if you want to, although I am trying to live a more natural life. I grow our own food, I ride a bike instead of a car, and I don’t have cable cable. I also do not have a central Heating and A/C system, or an cooling system of any kind. I do own a small space heater, in case of emergencies or for when guests come to visit, however it rarely gets used. The comment I get most often is that one man can’t make enough of a difference, and one less cooling system in the world won’t change anything. This is true, although I can’t control the rest of the world, or what Heating and A/C systems people choose to use. All I can do is make our own choices, and hope there are other people out there enjoy me. It’s true, one less cooling system won’t make a difference, however a million less cooling systems surely would! Anyone who is studying this, heed our words, and consider not using your Heating and A/C systems. Use natural ventilation and fans, and most of the time you will still be perfectly comfortable. At the same time you can save hundreds, maybe even thoUSAnds of dollars every year on utility costs by not using climate control. Think about it!
