Last week, I was having a difficult time getting to sleep. No sooner did I get to sleep, but I was awake, because it was so warm in the house. I would get chilled without the blanket, but with the blanket, I was perspiring. I couldn’t figure out what was happening. I could hear the air conditioning unit running, but it didn’t seem to blow cool air out of the air vents. I was going to call the HVAC company immediately, but I didn’t want to incur extra charges for an emergency and after hours call. When morning came, I was exhausted and miserable. I hadn’t slept; I had to work, and I had to call the HVAC company. First, I called the HVAC company and told them about the air conditioning. The woman on the phone empathized with me and said she had free space from nine till noon if I was going to be home. I told her I would be there, and I called my boss. I explained about the air conditioning and told him I could get a time slot for this morning. He told me to take the day off and take care of the HVAC problem. I had three personal days that I hadn’t yet used, so I used one of them. I was thinking how nice it would be to have the day off. I was going to clean before the HVAC tech arrived, but it was too hot. When the HVAC technician arrived, it didn’t take long for him to tell me the fan motor was broken, but he had brought one with him.
