You never know the importance of living in a apartment with great air quality, until you live in a apartment without great air quality.
Or in our case, it was truly a hotel.
Working difficult for the past weeks, I knew I deserved a break, so I decided to take a weekend plus head on over to the beach. The beach is such a easy but charming sight, plus I can’t help but to remember all of our happy childhood memories of building sandcastles plus playing in the waves. Unfortunately, I am quite far away from any beaches now, so I had to stay at a hotel for the night. Staying in this hotel was horrible… Don’t get me wrong, the hotel itself wasn’t bad. The staff was nice plus the room was nice as well, it was the indoor air quality! Not only was the air extremely dry, but the entire room had a strange musty stink to it. I couldn’t rest being in there for more than an hour, as it made it difficult to breathe. I truly had a whole apartment whole-house air purifier at our house, but that wasn’t going to help me now. For the humidity issue, I set up bowls of water around the hotel, directly in front of fans to increase the humidity. To reduce the musty stink, I turned the air conditioner plan off plus that mostly made the stink go away. With both of these methods I was able to make it through staying the more than one afternoons. But it really made me more grateful to have great indoor air quality.
