Anna had been living with her sister Mercy for a couple years.
They ended up coming together as a result of being lonely during quarantine.
Mercy has a beautiful house, but she was all alone. And I was renting an apartment though she had just lost her job to the pandemic. While speaking with her sister about her situation, they agreed that Anna should move in with Mercy. This would be the first time the two sisters would live together since Mercy went off to college. Mercy had a wonderful house, and Anna said she would help pay for the utilities and pull her weight. That summer, an air conditioning tune-up was necessary for the house, especially since they were going to be indoors nearly all the time. The problem they encountered was that with the pandemic, no one was willing to let people into their house. Thankfully, Anna and Mercy were able to find a reputable heating and air conditioning business that was using effective COVID protocols to keep their employees and customers safe. So Mercy and Anna felt entirely safe allowing them to send down an HVAC expert to do the necessary air conditioning maintenance on their HVAC system. The HVAC expert was wearing all matter of protective gear and they communicated through phone calls as much as possible rather than in person. Anna was very happy that she found this HVAC company because of how professional they were being. When the HVAC company inspected their air conditioner, they did find quite a few problems, but they were able to fix them. The air conditioner worked perfectly for the rest of the summer as I did their best to enjoy their time together.
