I am using the money we made last night playing to buy a new washable HEPA filter for my HVAC system.
I’ve had this same filter for a few years now and it is really starting to fall apart. I don’t know how many times I have cleaned the thing but it is starting to break down and it is time to go to the HVAC business near me and get a new one. It’s kind of cool that I can get things like this just by singing, but it isn’t always easy money because some nights we end up playing for hours for free. It can also be really hot out playing on the streets and sometimes I wish we could be playing in a climate controlled club somewhere. Maybe we need to start marketing ourselves more to the local businesses and see if we can earn better money. It would be great if I could pay half of my rent each month just playing music in clubs and bars. I still like working for the local contractor doing manual labor now and then but would much prefer to earn money doing something I truly love. I made money doing comedy shows but have left the comedy circuit because it was just too stressful for me. I’ll keep working in the HVAC field until my musical career explodes and I become a huge star, yeah that’s not what I actually want to have happen.
