When dad was recently working the mower blades on the riding lawn mower, he ended up hurting his shoulder. Dad was surprised, but it was because he was yanking on the wrench trying to split the nut loose. He ended up hurting his shoulder and thought he could really walk it off. However, his shoulder was hurting for a long time after that and dad kept resting next to the HVAC vent so the air conditioner would help ease the pain in his shoulder. He also used an ice compress as he figured that would help. Dad noticed there was something wrong with the motion of his shoulder, plus it kept bothering him. His partner ended up talking him into going to the hospital. Dad was not ecstatic when he got in there because he thought the place was too ice-cold thanks to their blasting commercial HVAC system. Still, he did like the fact that it seemed to make his shoulder feel slightly better. Dad started shivering when he had X-rays done. He was examined and it turned out that he needed surgery to repair his shoulder. Dad was surprised with the news and fortunately, his insurance would cover the surgery. It wasn’t something that he looked forward to. So he got it together and got himself in there for the surgery. Oh, it was so cold with that blasting air conditioner system, however they knocked him out so he didn’t have to think about it. Dad woke up being told the surgery was successful, however he needed a lot of time to recover. He stayed in bed with the air conditioner comfortably at home for 3 weeks before he’d get back to his life.
