My mom needs me to go and get her home ready for the rest of the summer time season! She has waited for the last minute this year, however we always have a good back to school party at her home for all of my aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Now all of the children are grown and going into college, however it’s still the end of summer right of passage to have this immense party at my mom’s house.
She has not done anything else all summer, so we haven’t entirely needed to get all the summer equipment out at her home yet, however, now that the date for the party is looming in front of us, we are going to have to go ahead and do it, then my mom wants me to come out and help her because she has all of these tents and outdoor party equipment and portable air conditioning units that she wants me to get down out of the attic for her, and I haven’t entirely had a whole lot of time this summer time because I have been finally working double shifts a lot of the time. I told my mom that I would try and get out there this weekend, however I am entirely cutting it close. The party itself is next weekend, so that would just give her a one month in between to get everything ready. I told her that maybe we shouldn’t do it at her home this year, and she just looked at me like I was crazy. I know since it’s so important to her, I will go over to help. I just dread the thought of getting out all those portable air conditioning units. Those things are heavy.
