I had not visited him for some time at home, so I found it in a mess when I visited his house a month ago. One thing with him is that he is so reluctant to tidy up. If anything breaks down in the house, he takes ages to have it repaired. So, on this particular visit, the indoor air quality was bad, but that’s because the heating and cooling system was not working. I am glad he didn’t have heated floors though. I tried to troubleshoot the temperature control, but it did not help. He also mentioned that he had never booked for an air conditioning service since he bought the equipment. I wonder why he was reluctant, yet he works with an air conditioning expert in his department who handles both residential and commercial air conditioning units. Anyway, I contacted a random HVAC supplier who sent an HVAC serviceman for the checkup a few hours later. When he started the repair, he noticed that the HVAC was almost breaking down; the duct was in bad condition because duct cleaning was long overdue. The advantage was that his system was a quality HVAC from a reliable HVAC brand. That is why he never had it checked for long, it’s a miracle it had survived for long without the need for major service; otherwise, he would have to buy new HVAC equipment. The technician did a commendable job and left us with well-serviced equipment. My boyfriend was so happy and decided to contract the serviceman for frequent home services.
