When I moved into the apartment, there were no air conditioning system units to be found.
There was nothing in the lease that said there was air conditioning system.
I called the building owner & asked if I could put window air conditioning system in the apartment. He told me I could, although I had to pay the electricity for them, & there was to be no disfigurement done to the windows. I agreed & went out to buy two window air conditioning system units. I lived there for two years, but after that I got a modern job. I was moving twenty miles away & found an apartment that was within a mile of my job, & half the cost of the apartment in the city. Luckily, it was at the end of the lease, so I gave my one month notice & said I would be moving out. The apartment was clean, & I had pictures of the apartment when I moved in & when I moved out. Two months later, I still hadn’t received my deposit for the apartment so I called the man. He told me I detached the air conditioning system units & the apartment was disgusting. I had to take him to court. Luckily, I had pictures of the apartment before & after, that were date stamped. I showed them to the judge, & he asked about the air conditioning system units. I gave him the original lease, which stated there were no air conditioning system units in the apartment. I had purchased them & took them with me. The judge sided with me, & I got my entire deposit back from the building owner.
