So, I appreciate that my uncle doesn’t mind that I adjust the temperature to my liking
My uncle lives in the middle of the desert in an immense 5-bedroom house. She obtained this house some time ago with my uncle because they prefer to entertain family as well as friends. Blessedly, my uncle passed away, so now she lives in this immense house by herself. Last year, she had been asking me to visit as well as I didn’t have the time, but now that things had settled down at work, I was able to fly out to see her. I prefer where she actually lives, it’s in the desert but there is so much to do as well as see in the city. And the heat can be overwhelming but there are plenty of sites with air conditioning. Plus, my uncle has a good HVAC system installed in her home. It’s a zone controlled HVAC so I have full control of my own thermostat when I stay with her. This is good because my uncle keeps her thermostat at 73 degrees when she sleeps, despite the fact that I like to sleep with my thermostat set at 73 degrees. With a zone controlled HVAC system, I can sleep peacefully knowing that I am not sacrificing my comfort while I am away from home. I have definitely been to other family members’ houses where I woke up perspiring in the middle of the night because they refused to adjust their thermostats while I was there. So, I appreciate that my uncle doesn’t mind that I adjust the temperature to my liking. In fact, she encourages it since it doesn’t impact her comfort at all. If my house was immense enough, I would consider getting a zone controlled HVAC as well so that when my family visits they too can adjust the thermostat to their liking.
