Last week, I got my air conditioning worked on by John, my HVAC repairman.
She has been my service girl for about 5 years now as well as I correctly get my air conditioning worked on once per year.
Throughout the years, John has done a phenomenal task at making sure that my heating as well as cooling component works efficiently. She has regularly provided tips on how to get the component to run properly. Additionally, John has regularly gone above and then beyond as well as never failing to follow up after she replaced a part. So, I trust John with my HVAC component as well as I wouldn’t trade him for another repairman. Well, while John was here, she asked if I ever had a HVAC duct cleaning done on my HVAC system. To which I finally answered no, as I was not aware that cleaning the HVAC duct was something that I needed to get done. Upon inquiring more about this HVAC duct cleaning, I discovered that some HVAC providers suggest getting the cleaning done every 3 or so years. I asked John if this was a necessity for my HVAC component to function efficiently. She was really even-handed as well as basically explained that the HVAC duct should be cleaned on an as-needed basis. Meaning if there is ever any excess build up or if there is some kind of mold or creature infestation inside the HVAC duct. However, John made it clear that because my house is older as well as my component is over 10 years old, then the HVAC ducts haven’t been cleaned in a long time if at all. So, it’s nice to at least get them cleaned out because the HVAC ducts have accumulated lots of dust over the years. I am not sure if I will get my HVAC ducts cleaned but it’s absolutely something that I am considering.
