When your oil furnace breaks down in the middle of Winter you could get super aggravated and irritated about it or you could just be neutral and get it fixed and then let yourself get aggravated afterwards, which you won’t because it has already been fixed! Just try being a bit more patient and kind to yourself in moments when you normally would react in a negative way and you will find that life is much smoother that way
I guess you’ve heard a hundred times about enjoying your life and whatnot and it has never rang so true after losing Max recently. Max was in wonderful health, so we thought, yet she passed away from a disease in only a matter of 3 months. I have promised myself to enjoy each day even more than before because I don’t want to grow old and never enjoy my life on the way there. I’ve seen other people going through life unhappy much of the time and stressed about things that genuinely don’t really matter in the immense scheme. My HVAC plan died a few weeks ago and I could have gotten super aggravated about it although I chose to just go through the motions of getting it fixed by the local HVAC company and all was better afterwards. I don’t make an immense fuss anymore about the small things that go wrong and do my best to try to enjoy all of these little things each day.
