Looking for greener ways to heat and cool my home

I worry about all of the money required to provide energy to my home over the next few decades.

This inflation increase over the previous year was instructive in ways I could have never anticipated.

Many of my essential items and groceries from the store have nearly doubled in price since this time last year. How do you manage to survive when your income remains constant amid the price increases at most stores? I subtly asked for a raise at work the other day but I was shot down right as the words left my lips. My only option to survive was to start cutting back what I purchased every month with my money. It would be simply too expensive to keep eating the same quality of food if the inflationary price increases were not being accompanied by salary increases as well. I have to cut back on energy expenses as well. Even though it’s the summer, I suppose I need to get used to warmer temperatures in the house if I hope to make ends meet. What if there are greener ways to heat and cool my home instead of simply going without these amenities? While I care about the environment, I regrettably care about my wallet even more. I am thinking about getting solar panels to put on my rooftop to harvest solar energy to power my central HVAC system. However, the upfront costs are going to be insane for a large scale solar setup. If the solar panels are not large enough, I risk wasting money on a project that doesn’t generate any savings.
