I am thankful for what I have considering my extreme financial problems.
I’m happy I’m able to put food on the table that is more diverse than ramon noodles and cheap cereal, although that requires lots of planning and watching sales and coupons at all of the nearby grocery stores to get the best prices.
If I didn’t cut coupons to this degree, I wouldn’t be able to pay my bills every month. I’ll be honest, I was hoping that I would be in a better place in life at this age than where I am at currently. I could have gone to law school, and perhaps I would be happier if I had chosen that path in life. Still, I have to continue on with whatever I have left and be content with my fate, regardless of where it takes me. One thing I’m extremely thankful for in my life is my car and it’s amazing air conditioner and heater inside. I bought this used car with only 30,000 miles on it and I have yet to need any major mechanical repairs on the car since I purchased it. I hope that I get more years of use out of this amazing car. I think it makes a huge difference with vehicles having a good heating and cooling system inside. There are a lot of things I can give up if it means trading them for a good heating and cooling system. During our cold winters, I will freeze in the car on the way to work if I don’t have a good heater running inside the car at all times. The same can be said in the summer when temperatures are extremely hot outside. I live in a region that has dramatic seasonal changes throughout the year.
