My child was in his study room talking to herself like he was talking to someone. I thought it was cute, only he told me he was just talking to the fairies that lived in the air vent. I asked if he talked to them all the time & he shook his head at me, but he told me they only came out when they knew they were safe. They were in the air vent the rest of the time. I knew he had a vivid imagination, however I never expected his to see fairies coming out of the air vent in his study room. I wondered if pollen wasn’t getting into the ductwork & it would come into his room when the a/c turned on. I went downstairs & told my husband my good friend and I needed to have the ductwork cleaned. He looked at me oddly & asked what was wrong. I told him how Kiley had been talking to the fairies that came out of the ductwork. I concerned there were bugs, pollen, or something else in the ductwork, & it came out with the a/c! Whatever was in the ductwork made Kiley feel they were fairies coming out to talk to her. I knew it was fantasy for my daughter, however I was concerned about how it could affect his health. When the ductwork cleaners cleaned the ductwork, they said there was so much debris in the ductwork from the small ‘helicopters’ that came off the trees in the Spring. The next afternoon, Kiley told me the fairies must have gone home, because they weren’t coming back anymore.
