We have looked into additions however they are so much money. What is a cheaper solution is a modular family room. You can get a shipping tote built however you want. You can make it a lavatory, family room, kitchen or whatever. You just need to hook it up to water. The room can have Heating and A/C, electric and plumbing. My partner is talking about blowing out a spot in the apartment to create a doorway. Then the doorway will open up to our modular addition. In addition my partner could have a family room and an office… Our last child then can take his room. It would be the perfect set up for us. Someday when we have the money, we can ship our modular space back and genuinely do the addition.
