My boyfriend and I have been dating for two years now and we are ready to celebrate.
We don’t normally celebrate our anniversaries, but this is a big one so we wanted to make an exception.
So we made a reservation at a nice restaurant in town. It is pretty expensive, but we didn’t care at all. We just wanted to have a good time. I got all dressed up and ready to go and my boyfriend picked me up with a big bouquet of flowers. I thought we were going to have a nice and romantic evening. When we pulled up to the restaurant there was a HVAC company van parked out front. I didn’t think much of the HVAC van, but it should have been a sign that our evening wasn’t going to go as planned. Right when we walked in I could tell the air conditioner was not working. It was hot and humid and the place was practically empty. We walked up to ask the hostess what was going on and she was covered in sweat. She was really nervous because she was going to have to explain to every guest that the HVAC system was not working and they were turning customers away. I was really upset at first because I wanted to go to a nice fancy dinner with my boyfriend. However, right across the street was a little diner that we decided to try. We ended up having the best time and we got to sit in an air conditioner restaurant for dinner!
