The bees were coming from somewhere close to the cabin

A few years ago, I took the kids to a cabin for a week in the summer.

The cabin is right on the lake and inside the state park. The rental rate for the cabin was $125 every night. The cabin had heat and AC, beds for all of the children and me, and it had a fully stocked kitchen. There were pots, pans, baking dishes, forks, spoons, plates and bowls. Everything we needed to be comfortable for that week was included with the cabin. The kids were happy to be outside for a whole week. They played a lot while we were there. A few days after we arrived, the kids were outside playing by the cabin and I heard one of the boys start screaming. I ran outside as quickly as possible. The kids were jumping around and they were acting crazy. In a moment, I realized that they were being attacked by a swarm of bees. The hornets were coming from somewhere close to the cabin. I told the kids to run inside of that cabin as quickly as possible. I searched around the cabin for the hornet nest, but I was unable to locate the exact place where they were coming from. There had to be a hive close by, because there were hundreds of hornets trying to attack the kids. After we left the cabin, I told the state park guide about the issue with the hornets. I warned the guy that we could not see where they were coming from, but the bees had to be close to the area where the kids were stung multiple times.
