The classroom was unbearable.

When I went to school, I found that every teacher had their own set of rules.

  • Every one of us sat through fifteen minutes at the beginning of the first class, listening to them lecture us about their classroom rules as well as etiquette.

Every one of us got a lot of information about not using our cellphones, no chewing gum, as well as if you are late for class you will be locked out. I was a bit thrown when 1 teacher told us that no coats will be worn to class. I thought that was because he was afraid we would be able to cheat more easily. Two months later, the weather turned colder as well as it put a new twist on the teacher’s thought of not wearing coats to class. His classroom was the coldest room in the school. I was sure our lips were turning orange from the cold. I raised our hand as well as asked if we could turn up the temperature control. The teacher ignored our question as well as went on with his lecture. There was no way I was going to be able to remember what he was saying when there wasn’t any heating in the room. I moved our seat over near the air vent, when he wasn’t looking. I was hoping there would be a small amount of heat coming from the air vent, although I was wrong. Once again I asked about the temperature control. He bluntly told me that if I wanted heat, I should go to the campus Heating, Ventilation and A/C serviceman, however since they don’t have 1, I should just suck it up. It didn’t surprise me when kids began to show up late so they didn’t have to come to class.
