When my wife and I bought a new house, one of the first things she noticed was the gardening space in the front and sides of the house. They were raised flower beds and they already had a bunch of soil with no weeds in sight. I figured they must’ve done everything right by using commercial landscaping fabric which makes it difficult for any weeds to come up in your garden. She seemed to want the house merely because of the gardening capabilities. I told her we had to look at the place first though so we knew if there were any issues. My biggest concern was looking at the HVAC equipment. Well, when we got into the basement where the HVAC system was, we had to pull out the flashlights because the basement lights weren’t hooked up for some reason. Now, I was stunned by how huge the basement was and it had so much potential. The thing that really annoyed me was all the spiderwebs that weren’t cleared out. It was hard to walk around without running into spider webs. Still, we bought the place because we loved how large the house was, the amount of rooms it had, and of course the amount of land and the relative privacy. The house is still off a main road, but there isn’t much traffic and you can’t even see the neighbors, so it’s mostly private. We had professional cleaners to clean the whole place and sanitize everything and they also removed all spiderwebs and signs of any spiders. I learned that there was a nice boiler system which worked great, but we had to install a new cooling system, so we went for a ductless mini split air conditioner.
