This year for his birthday, we surprised my dad with a modern A/C method for his house, however my dad is one of those guys who will make do with whatever he has! He never enjoys spending any extra money and both of us joke about the fact that he probably has thousands of dollars hidden in his mattress.
He is just one of those oldschool types of guys; Whenever both of us were growing up when something broke, he would say something about how we would just have to go along to get along. My sisters and I never easily understood that saying, but my dad typically had a lot of odd things that he would say that didn’t make any sense to us, anyway, this year, my dad has been having a lot of problems with his central a/c method and he mentioned that it was easily time for him to replace it, although he did not want to spend the money. Whenever he said that, my sisters and I all looked at each other with knowing looks. As soon as he mentioned it, we knew that that was what both of us were going to get him for his birthday this year. This year, he is going to be 74 years old, and we figured that he should easily get whatever he wants for his birthday. Three sisters and I are all going to go in on the modern central a/c method and split it three ways. I suppose that our dad is going to be really happy when he realizes that we are getting him a brand new high efficiency a/c method for his birthday.
