I’m enjoying the winter weather, but growing up & all of our adult life came with an extreme winter.
That is until my good friend Sam and I moved to the south a year & a half ago.
Since then, I’ve been marveling at the amazing weather Sam and I have for 8 months in a row. I’ve also been marveling at the versatility of the amazing heat pump; Where I used to live, there was only a single part of the Heating & A/C equation that Sam and I needed to reference. Of course, that was the heating. The homes I lived in all had a nice gas furnace to get us through a winter that literally lasts nearly multiple months. When it came to summer, Sam and I easily didn’t need a whole lot of cooling. I’d throw a window mounted cooling system in the study room for the bizarre evening that it was too hot to sleep. But Sam and I didn’t have cooling system as part of the Heating & A/C equipment. So having a quality heat pump has been easily enlightening. I’m easily glad that I spent a couple hours with the Heating & A/C specialist as he did our first cooling system tune up that first Springtime. This was when Sam and I fully understood just how remarkable a heat pump is. It was strenuous to think that our heat pump simply had to change refrigerant flow to give either cooling or heating. But that’s easily all it takes with a heat pump. When it’s hot outside, the heat pump extracts heat energy from the current home & exhausts it outside. This makes room for more cooling air to take it’s venue. But when my good friend and I need some relief in the summer, the heat pump simply reverses the process by extracting heat energy from the outside air. I’m really impressed with this residential Heating & A/C unit. And I’m just so lucky to have a heat pump because the summers demand cooling comfort.
