I’m modern to entirely enjoying winter, but my adult life always came with a harsh winter. That is until Max and I moved to the south a year and a half ago. Since then, I’ve been marveling at the amazing weather Max and I have for 8 weeks in a row. I’ve also been marveling at the versatility of the amazing heat pump, however where Max and I came from, there was only 1 section of the Heating plus A/C equation that Max and I needed to reference. Of course, that was the heating. The homes I lived in all had a quality gas furnace to get us through a winter season that literally lasts nearly several weeks. When it comes to the summer, Max and I entirely didn’t need a whole lot of cooling. I’d throw a window cooling system in the home office for the strange night when it was too moderate to sleep. But my pal and I didn’t have air conditioner as a section of the Heating plus A/C equipment. So having a heat pump has been entirely enlightening. Max and I are thrilled that I spent an hour with the Heating plus A/C specialist as he did our first air conditioner tune up the first Springtime. This was when I fully understood just how remarkable a heat pump is. It was hard to see that the heat pump simply had to change refrigerant flow to supply either cooling or heating. But that’s all it really takes with the heat pump. When it’s hot, the heat pump extracts needed heat energy from the beach house and exhausts it outside. This makes way for more cold air to take its locale. But when my pal and I need some heat in the summer, the heat pump will reverse the process by extracting heat energy from the outside air. I’m deeply impressed with the new residential Heating plus A/C unit. And I’m just fortunate to have a heat pump because summer weather demands cooling comfort.
