Now that our family is growing again, we are looking for another place to live.
- My wife is pregnant with twins and we really would like to have a newer, more energy efficient home before the babies get here.
We already have two kids in the little house where we’re at now. The way it is in the house where we live now is just terrible. This house has terrible indoor air quality, first of all. We just don’t want to be here with all of these kids that we’re going to have! Plus, we need to have more room to spread out. I would love to find a place with a new, high efficiency heating and cooling system. The old furnace that’s in the basement at this house is ancient and a little bit scary to be honest with you. It looks like a big burning monster or something down there in the furnace room. It scares me to death when I have to go down there to work on the furnace. I would rather have something like a ductless mini-split unit or a high efficiency heat pump. Of course, my dream is to have a home with radiant heated flooring but I don’t think that we will be able to afford that on our budget. One of the other reasons we want a more energy efficient house is because we want to save as much money as possible on our heating and cooling bills. It costs a lot of money to raise kids! A great heating and cooling system would definitely help with that.
