Last week there was a terrible thunderstorm and a bolt of lightning caused one of the trees in the backyard to split in half.
When the tree split in half, parts of the braces and limbs fell on the roof of the house. When the rain subsided 2 days later, I had the opportunity to go outside and assess the damages. There was still part of the tree leading up against the side of the house and I did not have a chainsaw that was big enough to cut through the large portion of their tree. I looked for a tree trimming company locally that had good reviews. I found a tree trimming company that handles seasonal and emergency work as well as thump removal and debris cleanup. The tree company had four stars on Yelp and I was happy to see more good reviews than bad ones. Even the bad reviews weren’t terrible. I contacted the license and insurance tree trimming company after the storm. The yard and tree service experts came out to my home to give me a free estimate. The contractor was really thorough and comprehensive. The guy was friendly too, which helped when he delivered the terrible news. There was a lot more work than I expected and it was going to cost thousands of dollars to get all of the tree debris removed from the house. Thankfully, the yard and tree trimming company helped to work with my insurance company and the insurance company paid for most of the damages and the tree and debris removal.
