If he can’t help, you ask to speak to the manager. If the manager isn’t able to help you, you can always go to the owner of the HVAC company. When you’re the boss, the owner, you have no one to complain to. I usually end up going home and shouting at my wife. She ignores the tone of voice, but listens to me when I am talking. Normally, she can help me with my frustrations. Without her, I wouldn’t have an HVAC company. She worked beside me, and sweated as much as I did in the early days. She was my secretary and my go-to person when I needed an odd job done. She was my dispatcher and my HR person. Now she was the person who I came to when I needed to vent, because who else can you complain to when you’re the boss? After fifteen minutes of venting about the HVAC company, she kissed me and told me she had heard enough. She reminded me I had taken the job of HVAC company owner, and it hadn’t been forced on it. I had a successful company and no amount of discord from one HVAC technician would change that. I had to sit the young HVAC technician down and have a long talk with him. If I didn’t think I could handle it, she offered to talk to him for me. I gave her the HVAC technician’s work file, so she had when she talked to him.
