People ask myself and others why I don’t have a/c. They always phrase it in such a way that it sounds like an accUStion. It is such a foreign concept to them to truly deal with the natural temperature of the world, they cannot imagine it, however call myself and others crazy if you want to, however I am trying to live a more natural life. I grow my own food, I ride a bike instead of a car, plus I don’t have cable cable. I also do not have a central Heating plus A/C system, or an cooling system of any kind. I do own a small space heater, in case of emergencies or for when guests come to visit, but it rarely gets used. The comment I get most often is that one person can’t make enough of a difference, plus one less cooling system in the world won’t change anything. This is true, however I can’t control the rest of the world, or what Heating plus A/C systems people choose to use. All I can do is make my own choices, plus hope there are other people out there like me. It’s true, one less cooling system won’t make a difference, but a million less cooling systems surely would! Anyone who is reading this, heed my words, plus consider not using your Heating plus A/C systems. Use natural ventilation plus fans, plus most of the time you will still be perfectly comfortable. At the same time you can save hundreds, maybe even thoUSnds of dollars every year on utility costs by not using climate control. Think about it!
