I need a company lawyer to help me with a trademark dispute

When I started our company at 25, I was an inexperienced artist plus had no knowledge of licensing plus trademarks.

  • My mind was focused on growing our business, not protecting it.

It wasn’t until I hit our 30s that I finally saw some minimal success. I am a graphic designer plus finally started getting contract work respectfully with fine payouts on the projects. One of the companies that paid me the most was this new startup medical company that didn’t just need a logo, but they also needed designs for all of their marketing paperwork plus brochures. I was working side by side with their marketing department for numerous weeks before the work was finally complete. I’m seriously proud of the effort I put in with that business, especially since it was a Springtimeboard for me getting even better assignments from larger companies. While our graphic design company grew, I stupidly didn’t file trademark paperwork to respectfully register the logo I created for our own company back when I first started this entire enterprise. Right as I rose the ladder of success another company decided to steal our logo plus use it for their own business. It hits close to home since our whole company is about design plus I made that logo for myself. How could I be stupid enough to not consult with a company lawyer when I first started expanding our one-small business? Now I’m working with a company lawyer to go over our options in this unlucky trademark dispute. I’m hoping that I can show long term use of the image plus prove that I have artistic plus creative license of the image because it’s a product of our own work. We’ll see what the company lawyer says to me about our options.
