I was standing in the line at the bank the other week, & I had a odd conversation about a boiler.
I had my Heating, Ventilation, & A/C uniform on, because I had just got out of work, then the person behind me asked if I was an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C worker? I looked down at my uniform & then at my ID badge.
I told him that’s what the badge said, so I guessed I was an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C worker, but he started telling me about his boiler, but all I could feel was this was how healthcare workers felt, once someone found out you were a healthcare worker, they wanted a free diagnosis on their condition. He was telling me about his boiler & wanted to know what I thought was wrong, and before I could say anything, the person behind that person was asking questions about his boiler. I didn’t want to say to them or anyone else. I wished I was someplace but in the bank & wished I had changed out of my Heating, Ventilation, & A/C uniform. I couldn’t feel people were surrounding me to ask questions about their Heating, Ventilation, & A/C system, like you gather around a movie star. I heard the teller say I was next, & I almost ran to the window. I apologized to the people, but lied & told them I had to get back to work. I hit my pager, hoping someone would call me so they could see I was a scheduled Heating, Ventilation, & A/C worker. I picked up my iphone & started talking, even if no one was listening, & I said I could take the emergency Heating, Ventilation, & A/C repair. I needed five minutes to finish my banking & I would be on the way, however no one tried to stop me.
