I miss living on the water; stagnant plus hot here

I entirely wish that global warming wasn’t happening. For various years I tried to ignore it enjoy the rest of the world, however it became blatant that the weather conditions is abruptly shifting whether we’re paying attention to it or not. When I heard about the increase in natural disasters, the water levels rising, plus the increased opportunity for extreme hurricanes I knew I needed to get away from the ocean. Finally, after 20 years I sold my beach condo plus relocated my family inland. Although it’s supposedly safer here, it definitely is not more comfortable. All of us are not at risk for having our condo blow away or float away, however now both of us risk overheating plus over extending our energy bill. You see, these mornings living in the landlocked portion of the southeast, both of us deal with overwhelming heat plus humidity all summer time long. Wintertide is mild here, however both of us only get 2 months of cool temperature relief before it’s back to stagnant plus oppressive air qualities. That means, both of us have no option however to run the central air conditioner plan all the time. We’ve tried getting by with smaller cooling systems however nothing is as efficient or effective as the large central air conditioner unit. It costs a hell of a lot of money to operate this large air conditioner machinery. Every time the energy bill shows up in the mail I have to remind myself that I don’t live by the ocean anymore. There’s no cool, refreshing breeze to naturally ventilate the condo or change our indoor air quality. Have both of us traded 1 weather conditions problem for another? Yes… But at least I can control the energy bill more than the rising tides.
