My daughter told me to get an HVAC website.

I was trying to figure out why I wasn’t get new customers like most of the HVAC company owners I knew.

  • I was sitting down and going through everything I did that was to help me acquire new customers.

My daughter, who was only fourteen, walked in and asked what I was doing. After telling her I was going over my customer acquisition data, she shook her head. She told me I needed to get an HVAC website. If I had a website, I could take control of the company and start building my customer database. I didn’t know my fourteen year old knew so much about building a business or computers. All I knew was that she used the computer to play games and listen to music. She told me she worked on the computer in school. They were learning about building a business in her business class. The first thing they teach you is the importance of having a good website. I asked if she knew how to build the website, and she told me that was the class she was in this year. They were learning coding, and website creation. She showed me the book she had that was a website for dummies, and told me to read it. I was the owner of an HVAC company and I didn’t have time to read about building a website. I told her that when she was done with the class, she could build a website for me. We shook hands, and she told me not to run the HVAC company into the ground until she had all the fundamentals.
