He didn’t care when I arrived
My friends always call me for help when they have trouble with the furnace or the air conditioner. I am the only person in my group of friends that knows how to deal with home systems and equipment like the furnace and the air conditioner. I am a licensed and certified independent HVAC contractor with eight years of experience. There is another person in my group of friends that is a plumber. She is the person to call for any type of plumbing problem and she can build you a bathroom from scratch. She knows a little bit about furnaces and air conditioners, but most people call me when there is a problem. My buddy Jack called me on Saturday morning, because he woke up and there wasn’t any heat downstairs in the basement. There are separate air handlers for upstairs and downstairs. It was good that there was some heat upstairs, because that meant that the problem was only with the downstairs air handler. I told Jack that I could help out, but I was having brunch with my girlfriend and her parents and I would not be able to get to his place until 1:00. My friend was really happy that I was going to be able to help. He didn’t care when I arrived. It didn’t take long for me to fix the problem with the air handler and I was glad that Jack called me. A local repair company probably would have charged him for an hour of labor and parts but it was an easy and simple electrical fix.
