I am going to workout later today on the beach and just relax with my friend and take in the nice weather on the coast.
I was talking about the MartianMan before and wondered where he came from. I don’t even know if he speaks English as we get a lot of foreigners floating around town here and a lot of them don’t speak the local language either. This guy is always alone and I’ve seen this before where people wander around the town alone all of the time and eventually lose their minds. We have to connect with other people or we end up imploding from listening to our own thoughts too much. I spend time alone too but I have some HVAC tech friends and some volleyball friends to keep me somewhat sane. I’m trying to learn the language quickly here so I can connect better with the locals, but it is taking me some time to do so. I work for this local business and have ample opportunities to speak and listen to Spanish, so I guess as time goes by I will get better at it. I love the local businesses here because most of them have air conditioning and there are a lot of happy tourists visiting the area, which gives it a light and fun feeling. I will probably spend the rest of my life in this little town and just enjoy life as much as possible while I am still young and healthy. I’ll work for the local contractor for five more years before calling it quits.
