They just don’t get it

Being an HVAC worker it is hard to really explain the job to someone who isn’t in the heating and air conditioning business.

People just assume that the job is black and white in terms of you go out, fix someone’s central heating and air conditioning system and that’s your job everyday. It really isn’t that easy. There are a lot of other factors involved in being a heating and cooling specialist. For me to try to write all of them out would be like the chapter of a book, so I am not going to do that. I am just going to say that a lot of heating and air conditioning workers who work for HVAC companies are underpaid. This is why a lot of heat and a/c specialists are becoming independent heating and air conditioning contractors and starting their own HVAC businesses. That is what I ended up doing. After several years of working for a heat and a/c company I decided to try my luck at my own personal HVAC business. And let me tell you that I ended up making more money this way in the long term. It didn’t happen overnight. It took building the client base and getting my heating and cooling business going. This was about a year’s worth of work. In that time it was a struggle, but it was all well worth it. Because now I have a very successful heating and air conditioning business as an independent heat and a/c contractor!
