After the advertisement, we had 30 calls

Owning a business is tough, especially in this economy.

My family and I barely made it through the covid-19 crisis.

I was out of work for 6 weeks and then I had several workers that needed to be paid while they were out on leave. It was demanding to work during that time as well and I constantly had to worry about getting sick. When I walked in and out of customers’ homes, and made sure to wear a mask and gloves. When I got home at the end of the day, I took off my clothes in the garage and put them right into a special portable washing machine. Business was slow when we were nearing the end of the crisis and my wife and I had to do something to get more business to the HVAC repair company. I decided to place an advertisement in a local magazine that is issued on the 1st of the month. I knew the magazine would be in the mailboxes of each one of the county members on the first of the month. I took out a quarter page ad for the HVAC repair business and advertised a ductwork cleaning special. I thought it was a good idea to advertise some type of air cleaning services since we were at the end of the crisis. I had 30 calls the day that the advertisement appeared in the newspaper and at least 30 more calls throughout the next week. Advertising the HVAC repair business in the magazine was a great idea.
