air conditioner cost goes up in the summer

I started renting a small condo at the edge of city last September.

  • It’s somewhat tiny, but has plenty of space for a single person.

It’s a two kitchen one and a half bathroom condo with a small fenced in backyard. The living room is small and the kitchen is smaller, but the residing room has a great amount of space. It suits my needs perfectly, and I must say that the recently installed heating and air conditioner served me undoubtedly well the first 9 months or so that I lived there. Throughout the fall and winter season months, I barely ever needed to use the heat as I much care about cool temperatures in the house, especially at night, because I sleep so well in them, but because I moved in in September, I did not necessarily have to run the air conditioner all that much for the next 7 months or so, so my electric bill was quite acceptable; However, when mid-May arrived, temperatures started to soar. I still wanted to get away with setting the temperatures on the control component that I was most comfortable with. At that point I had gotten used to 79° during the day if I was at condo and 69° in the night. When I got to the electric bill for the month of August, I was shocked by how much more I was paying to maintain these temperatures because of the heat! I realized I would be sacrificing quite a bit of extra money in order to stay cool and comfortable over the summer.
