A long time ago I once helped a homeless guy get back on his feet. It was during the summer, and it was like a furnace in my house because my HVAC system was broken. So I was outdoors getting some relief from my house, and I started talking to this guy. I couldn’t believe when he said that he used to be an HVAC technician! He said that his ex-girlfriend had become addicted to drugs, and it led to her stealing all his money and him becoming homeless. I knew that was believable. I asked him a few HVAC questions, and he obviously knew what he was talking about. I didn’t know what exactly was wrong with my cooling, but I knew it was drastic. My HVAC system wouldn’t cool my house at all, but I didn’t have the money to fix it. I decided to let him help me with my HVAC problem in return for a place to stay for a bit. He was so thankful for the opportunity. I couldn’t pay him immediately, but he was OK with that. He was true to his word- he knew how to fix my cooling system. We cleaned the ductwork, and did some other major work on the HVAC unit. We had to go and buy some stuff from the hardware store, but by the next day the A/C unit was working really well. I couldn’t believe it. He told me which replacements and HVAC tune-ups I needed. He turned out to be the HVAC savior that summer. I paid him a fair amount for his services, and he was able to get back on his feet after that.
