I was never honestly good at changing the HVAC air filter.
There isn’t a great or single reason I can particularly point to for this.
Perhaps it was just that I could never remember when it was time to change the air filter. But that has all changed now. Due to the pandemic, I l gained just how important quality indoor air is to our health. Being a guy who would be greatly at risk if they caught this virus, I did a bunch of research on how to strengthen our immune response. This is where I l gained that the HVAC component in our home can help myself and others when it comes to our immune health. And really, it’s not just the immune health but good health overall. I thought that the cheap air filters that I used were particularly filtering the air for me. But those cheap, paper air filters are particularly filtering the air for the benefit of the HVAC equipment. The cheap air filters only filter out airborne particles that are big enough to hurt the HVAC equipment. To have the HVAC help improve the indoor air quality, I had to replace our air filters. Now I use a HEPA filter to do just that. The HEPA filter traps and removes more than 99 percent of hazardous airborne contaminants. That means there is far, far less in the air that is consistently attacking our respiratory system. In turn, this allows our immune plan to have to work less and be able to get stronger. Quality indoor air, healthy air is worth a few dollars more for the HEPA air filter.
