Difficult getting the temperature balanced on all floors

The people I was with and I recently moved into our first several story property.

One of the bedrooms upstairs had a wonderful bay window that was honestly perfect for my partner’s desk. He works from our property plus the two of us thought it would be a fine place for the desk when our whole family set up his office. He could see outside while genuinely working to keep an eye on the weather plus the neighbors. It was totally great, until the the bunch of us discovered that the room was surprisingly HOT! Not just from the sunshine pouring in the bay window however there did not seem to be any cool air flowing out of the air conditioner equipment register. This led to an undoubtedly extensive plus tedious trial plus error process to get the cool air from the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C equipment to blow frigid air into his office. Vents in the downstairs portion of the property were systematically closed off hoping to force cool air upstairs. The result was that all the cool air was blowing out the register in the stairwell plus it was blazing hot in the kitchen. The next experiment was directing the air conditioner equipment register from the stairwell towards the office door plus positioning a fan outside the door to blow cool air into the office. This helped until my partner needed to close his office door to get his task done when I was at the property. The people I was with and I finally made the choice to call in the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C dealer. He checked around the attic plus inspected the actual HVAC duct plus checked out the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C equipment itself. His final determination was that the air duct was not installed in such a way to vent the cool air to the office. He made a small modification to the air duct plus the improvement in the amount of cool air was enough to make the office relatively bearable.
