I knew that HVAC professionals are only called when the unit shows signs of breakdown for the longest time! This mindset changed when our overly conscious sibling came to live with myself and others for a few months, however she was truly observant the first few days and kept most things to herself until she couldn’t take it anymore.
The air was uncomfortable for her, especially when I went to work and left her to relax and do whatever she wanted.
She told me and others that it was almost impossible to stay indoors when the sun was sizzling since the A/C seemed not toiling. I rushed to inspect it, and to our surprise, everything seemed okay, so I did not understand why our sibling was actually complaining. I took the next day to see for myself, and true to her claims, our unit seemed to be struggling to cool the space. There was truly little cool air getting into the house. I checked the outdoor unit, and it was not blocked. I remember instructing someone to clear the bushes and debris around it a few weeks back, so it was perfect! Next, I checked the filters, and they were pretty straightforward since I had swapped them two weeks ago! My sibling recommended also checking the air ducts, which I must confess that I had not paid much attention to. She did the leak test and told myself and others that there was a significant air leak in our HVAC duct as well; her suggestion was to call an HVAC expert to inspect and command the best repair for it, but when the HVAC specialist came over, she advocated cleaning professional HVAC duct as the HVAC duct was clogged and cracked. It required thorough cleaning before it could be repaired.
